The Lord has definitely proved His faithfulness to me and my family the last few days...we met with both doctors Dr. Mclendon and Dr. Martin. I am going to have the pet scan done over my head and neck on January 28th and the surgery will be done on February 2nd. The Lord has comforted my heart so much with the letter of Phillipians it has always been one of my favorite books but now, in this season of my life it is definitely words that my soul longs for and clings too. It is so encouraging to see all the people that are thinking and praying for me and my family during this difficult time. It hasn't been easy for sure. Waiting has been probably one of the hardest things for me and my family and also being away from Quick. But He is still faithful in all of his ways.
Some of the joys that I am able to look forward too is heading back to Africa in mid February and my cousin Meredith is getting married to her love, Robbie on May 7th and then my uncle Reid is getting married on the 14th of May to his sweetheart Susan. Weddings bring me so much joy and cannot wait to celebrate with them. Also some great news is that three of my cousins are PREGNANT!!! Another thing I adore is babies and I am going to have three new ones in my family shortly:) Another big thing that is happening in May is my boyfriend is graduating from college May 21st!!! It is so exciting and cannot wait to see him in his cap and gown:)
Please continue to pray that I will be patient and continue to wait well on the Lord and to remember that HIS timing is perfect and right. Also continue to pray for MICS and the city of Macha and the beautiful children of Zambia. They started school today and Rachel aka Sawyer is taking care of the girls now!! Also pray for Gil and Rhonda Krause and for Gil's health, Sue and Joel Bolthouse and the teachers and staff at MICS. Love you all so much.
Continuing to wait well,
Rach
